Frequently asked questions

WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD WEAR AND BRING TO CLUBNORTH?

Each student should wear loose fitting sports clothing to ClubNorth and bring their own water bottle clearly labelled.

WHAT ACTIVITIES WILL MY CHILD BE DOING AT CLUBNORTH?

For groups Pre-School and above, lessons will start with a warm up on the sprung floor and then the group will be divided in two. Students will be in groups of a maximum of six to one instructor with no more than twelve students in a lesson. They will receive full instruction and guidance on using all the equipment and participate in using the beam, rings, uneven bars and parallel bars.

DO I HAVE TO STAY WITH MY CHILD FOR THE SESSION?

With the exception of Parent & Toddler and Taster sessions, ClubNorth is a drop off and collect gymnastics club. We want students to develop an independent approach to learning free from distractions so they can really concentrate on the program and excel. Having said that, if there ever is an issue (or a Pre Schooler just needs a little extra help) we want to work with parents to offer as much support as possible.

IS CLUBNORTH SUPER COMPETITIVE?

Absolutely not - we offer recreational gymnastics and like to celebrate trying new skills, having fun and making friends. Our focus is on education, development and enjoying gymnastics across genders and age groups.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY CHILD NEEDS EXTRA SUPPORT?

At ClubNorth we do our very best to ensure every child is able to enjoy their gymnastics in a safe, positive, respectful and fun environment. However, if your child needs a little extra support, we will do our best to cater for them or recommend a partner gymnastics centre that can. If this represents your situation, please don’t hesitate to email in with a clear and honest account of your child’s needs and we will do our best to help.
